Lily Jade Diaper Bag Review

This product was gifted to me in exchange for my honest review, all opinions are my own.

As a second time mom, there are baby products that I knew I would want to replace or upgrade since my first daughter, Berit, was a baby which included a new diaper bag. As a seasoned mom, I had specific "must haves" for my new bag. I wanted a bag that could convert into a backpack, had lots of organized storage and preferably a style that didn’t scream “baby.”  When I found Lily Jade bags I immediately fell in love with the designs. They look like actual purses instead of a diaper bag and then I saw how functional they were too.  I was sold!

I chose the Madeline style because I liked the simple clean look of the bag. It has lots of pockets on the outside for easy access to things like your headphones, water bottle and phone. Plus the bags are exceptional quality. In fact, the first thing my husband said when we received ours was, “I love the smell of real leather.” i could tell right away that this is a bag i would have for a long time.

Like all of the other Lily Jade bags, it came complete with an inside “storage tote” that has 12 pockets making it easy to keep everything organized. I am big on organization and everything having a place so all of the pockets are perfect for me. I can fit everything I need in the tote and then easily move it in and out of the bag when I eventually want to carry it as a purse. But in the mean time, because there is so much room and efficient storage in the bag, I don’t need to carry a separate purse for my things, I just throw them in the diaper bag and we’re off.

Hands down, my favorite feature of this bag is that it can easily be converted into a backpack by using the shoulder straps. I have found that, especially with two kids, having both hands (and arms) free is a must. The long shoulder strap also makes it extremely easy for me to carry it on the stroller so I don’t always have to wear it on my person. The strap is also long enough for Brandon, my husband to wear it as a backpack too which is a bonus for us. I have had diaper backpacks in the past that did not fit across his broad shoulders so it wasn’t comfortable for him to carry it.  Not that he wears it that often, but there are times when he needs to do the carrying.

If you are in the market for a new diaper bag, whether you’re a first time parent or not, I highly recommend a Lily Jade. Their style and functionality makes them well worth the investment. I wouldn't have any other diaper bag!
